Innovating Europe: building trust in the future - Paris, 22 January 2004

Brussels, 9 January 2004

A conference entitled 'innovating Europe: building trust in the future', will take place in Paris, France, on 22 January.

EU Research Commissioner Philippe Busquin will be attending the event, and will give a presentation on increasing research spending to three per cent of GDP, as well as chairing a round table on 'bridging public and private funding of innovation in Europe'.

High level industry representatives will discuss innovation in Europe, and France's Minister for Industry, Nicole Fontaine, will close the conference.
