(Photograph) - In memory: the father of murdered Taiwanese student Chin-Yu Chang, of University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, places one of 1,000 paper cranes in Whitworth Park, Manchester, where his son was stabbed last month. The ceremony aimed to fulfil a Chinese saying that if 1,000 paper cranes are made in honour of a person that individual's dream will come true. Chin-Yu Chang's dream was of advancing scientific knowledge. Before going to the park, his father collected the MSc certificate from UMIST vice chancellor Bob Boucher that Chin-Yu Chang had earned but was yet to be given.
