Health applications of digital television

The Department of Health is currently negotiating with several consortia to run pilot projects exploring health applications of digital television.

The Department invites full research proposals to evaluate the agreed pilots. Proposals will need to cover a range of issues including plans for the assessment of: -how far the DiTV pilots provide convenient and useful information to the public -the desire and ability of the public at home to use the services provided -the extent to which the services offered meet the public needs -the degree to which DiTV contributes to an improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of local NHS services.
