Many cash-strapped students may have issues they would like to take up with Charles Clarke, but few have climbed into the ring with the well-built Education Secretary. Until now. The Green Party this week selected Adrian Ramsay, a postgraduate student at the University of East Anglia, to stand against Mr Clarke as its candidate for Norwich South in the next election. Mr Ramsay clearly intends to bash the Education Secretary with the student debt stick. He warned: "There are around 10,000 students in Norwich South, most of whom will be registering their disapproval of top-up fees."
