Greening the graduates

四月 29, 2005

A drive to make graduates "sustainability literate" begins this week with the first meeting of a network of education leaders and policy-makers.

The Sustainability Integration Group (SIGnet), funded by the Department for Education and Skills and managed by sustainable development charity Forum for the Future, aims to promote education on sustainability in higher education.

Sara Parkin, programme director at Forum for the Future, said: "Imagine the difference it would make to our environment and economy if all graduates were sustainability literate. We have a real opportunity to match up excellent pockets of good ideas and initiatives with the policy support they deserve".
