Graduates of Russell Group institutions were the least likely to be unemployed three and a half years after leaving university, with just 1.7 per cent falling into this category, figures show

However, they were the least likely to be solely working (79.5 per cent), and the most likely to be exclusively engaged in further study (11.2 per cent), according to the results from the Higher Education Statistics Agency’s longitudinal survey of 2010‑11 graduate destinations.

Overall, the survey found that long-term graduate joblessness has returned to pre-recession levels, although more university leavers were working part-time or engaging in further study.
