A drummer with the international metalcore rock band Enter Shikari is to be put through his paces by the University of Gloucestershire's physiology department. Rob Rolfe will complete a series of physiological and psychological tests as part of a project launched in summer 2008 by Clem Burke, Blondie's drummer. The Clem Burke Drumming Project was set up in response to research by scientists at Gloucestershire and the University of Chichester, which showed that during live performances, professional drummers have a heart rate similar to top-level footballers during matches and expend huge amounts of energy.
