Glasgow collects £2m

Glasgow University cleaned up in the latest Arts and Humanities Research Council grants round, securing more than £2 million of funding. The university, which said it received more AHRC money in this round than any other institution, won funding for four projects: the paradox of medieval Scotland: social relationships and identities before the wars of independence; an ethical and legal critique of alcohol policies in the UK; pantomime in Scotland; and mapping the practice and profession of sculpture in Britain and Ireland 1851-1951.
