(Photograph) - Get a PhD, get a suit, get a job, have a fling. People who have degrees are more likely to have affairs. People with PhDs have more clout in the job market than they know. Students need to smarten up to get ahead. This week's Research Opportunities section (pages I-XXXVI) advises students on life after a PhD; discusses 'slimy' supervisors; examines research ethics and warns against short-changing overseas students.
