Freefund.com - a commercial website that gave students free access to information on scholarships and bursaries - has folded its business in the UK following "financial difficulties". The company was backed and partly owned by the Swedish venture capital company Speed Ventures, which is behind the troubled internet retailer Letsbuyit.com. However, Freefund will continue trading in Sweden, where it was launched successfully a year ago.
