Four quit at Glasgow education faculty

一月 14, 2000

* Sir Graeme Davies, principal of Glasgow University, has given four senior education staff until Monday to reconsider their resignations.

The four tendered their resignations following growing disquiet over the management of the new education faculty, created last year through a merger with St Andrew's College of Education. Matters came to a head when bids for personal chairs were rejected.

The four staff who resigned are Stephen Baron, director of research; Jim Conroy, head of religious studies; Walter Humes, head of educational studies; and Hirek Kwiatkowski, head of curricular studies.
