English student unions outside the National Union of Students could get cheap beer if Northern Services, the buying consortium for similar Scottish student unions, sets up a separate organisation south of the border. The catch is that Northern Services offers cheap Irn Bru - an offer unlikely to cut much ice with English drinkers.
