十月 22, 1999

* The Court of Appeal this week granted lecturer Gill Evans the right to full appeal against Cambridge University's attempts to make her pay nearly Pounds 10,000 in legal costs.

Dr Evans was ordered to pay the university's legal costs after she lost a county court case in June this year. Dr Evans had applied for an injunction against her faculty in her battle over university promotion procedures. The university and Dr Evans will have the chance to reach an out-of-court settlement. If this fails, they have to attend the full hearing. No date has been set.
