Focus on animal ethics

十二月 1, 2006

More than 100 academics from ten countries are to advise the new Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics, launched online this week to put animals on the intellectual agenda.

The centre is the world's first academy dedicated to promoting the ethical status of animals through academic publication, teaching and research. It will act as an international, independent think-tank. Its first director is Andrew Linzey, an Oxford University theologian and a well known animal rights activist.
