THE government has set up a Further Education Student Support Advisory Group, due to report by the end of March 1998, to look at how to improve financial support. Sue Cara (associate director, programmes and policy for NIACE); Geoff Hall (director of funding and strategy for the FEFC); Lynne How (principal of Redcar and Cleveland College); Jeff Jones (education spokesman Welsh LGA); Peter Lawrence (Bucks County Council); Anne Sims (research officer, student financial support, NUS); Nigel Trim (administrative assistant, City of Manchester Council); Annette Zera (principal, Tower Hamlets College); Beverley Evans (divisional manager, 16-19 student support, Department for Education and Employment); Nick Tooze (team leader, individual learning division, DFEE).
