十一月 9, 2007

Four universities will collaborate to form the UK's first independent philanthropy research centre, it was announced this week.

Jenny Harrow, professor of voluntary sector management at City University, will direct the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy, and the universities of Strathclyde, Southampton and Edinburgh will each receive a share of the £2.2 million in funding over five years. The funding comes from the Economic and Social Research Council, the Office of the Third Sector, the Carnegie UK Trust and the Scottish Government.
