The management at Coventry University seems determined to plumb new depths. Last week, deans and directors were sent a memo entitled "executive diving suit" inviting them to extend the university's hospitality to visitors "who require a more sophisticated atmosphere". Moments later, a correction arrived. Apparently, a gremlin spell- checker had altered the original reference, which was to an "executive dining suite".
