European Science Foundation Conference - 'functional genomics and disease'

The second European Science Foundation (ESF) conference on functional genomics and disease will take place in Oslo, Norway, from 6 to 10 September.

The conference will be an international event with a programme covering the various areas of biology and disease where functional genomics is currently applied. Focus is put on new and emerging technologies

Topics to be covered include:
- neurogenomics and disease;
- ageing;
- oncogenomics;
- inflammation and immunity;
- diabetes and metabolic disease;
- emerging infections and poverty-related diseases;
- cardiovascular disease and angiogenesis;
- predictive, preventive and personalised medicine;
- molecular phenotyping and model systems;
- epigenomics and genomic landscape;
- comparative genomics;
- systems biology.
