European hydrogen roadmap: policy makers, industry and research meet for future of energy system - 26 October

On October 26th 2006, in the framework of the 6th General Assembly of HyWays Project, a "High Level Political Session" will be hosted at GE Oil & Gas Florence Learning Center; top industry representatives, EU research centres and key politicians will discuss on the future of hydrogen in the European energy system.

HyWays is an integrated project, co-funded by research institutes, the industry and by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme. The project aims to develop a validated and well- accepted roadmap for the introduction of hydrogen in the energy system. The Roadmap is expected to reflect real life conditions by taking into account not only technological but also country specific institutional, geographic and socio/economic barriers and opportunities.

The "High Level Political Session" will represent an extraordinary opportunity to exchange international existing and future practices, economic, social and political implications and main challenges to shift into fully operating hydrogen based energy system.
