European energy policy conference -- Brussels, 16-17 October

The second European energy policy conference will take place on 16 and 17 October in Brussels, Belgium. At this year's event, delegates will hear views from both EU and global energy actors. In addition, the European Commission will give presentations on developing energy security with global partners.

Topics for discussion will include:
- the EU's Energy Green Paper;
- policy requirements for sustainable development;
- energy security;
- the Intelligent Energy Europe programme;
- wind energy and wave energy in the EU;
- emissions trading;
- nuclear energy.
