EU-US Agreement GALILEO / GPS (Other items approved - Extract from: Provisional Version, Environment Council of 28 June)

The Council adopted unanimously by written procedure, initiated on 21 June and closed on 22 June 2004, the decision on the signature and provisional application of the agreement on the promotion, provision and use of the GALILEO and GPS satellite navigation systems and related applications. ( 10257/04 ).

The provisional application begins on the first day of the first month following the date on which the Parties have notified each other of the completion of the necessary procedures for this specific purpose. This date will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
