ENVISAT Symposium 2004 - Results of on-going research project activities; reviewing and assessing the development of applications and services, open to all interested parties, Salzburg, Austria, 6-10

INTRODUCTION

The 2004 ENVISAT & ERS Symposium follows the previous successful Symposia in Gothenburg (2000), Florence (1997), Hamburg (1993) and Cannes (1992).

ESA would like to invite you to participate in the ENVISAT & ERS Symposium, to be held in Salzburg - Austria from 6 to 10 September 2004.

OBJECTIVES

The main objectives of the ENVISAT & ERS Symposium are:

• to provide a forum for investigators to present results of on-going research project activities;
• to review and assess the development of applications and services.

PARTICIPATION

The Symposium is open to all interested parties, from scientists to operational users, and will cover both ENVISAT and ERS missions. We expect presentations of results from the ESA Principal Investigators, in particular those working on the Third Announcement of Opportunity for ERS Data (AO3), the ENVISAT CAL/VAL, the ENVISAT AO (AOE) projects and the Category-1 projects. Scientists working in the framework of national investigations and projects are also welcome to contribute. ERS and ENVISAT data Distributing Entities, Value Adding Companies and Service Providers are strongly encouraged to participate to illustrate their contribution in an active EO market.
