EPSRC invites outline proposals in the area of E-Science "grid applications testbeds".
The aim is to bring forward, and put together, consortia based proposals including consortia of researchers spanning application scientists and engineers, computational scientists and computer scientists and those from industry and commerce. Such consortia must be focused on real world challenges and be able to demonstrate, within three years, working systems of Grid technologies.
Proposals should be based upon open source software systems (eg Globus). A significant part of the project proposal should contain industrial support, in cash and in-kind. Full details online.
