Edinburgh University have access to rare harpsichords

Edinburgh University music students and researchers now have access to rare harpsichords dating from the 16th to the early 19th century, thanks to retired London doctor Rodger Mirrey. He has donated his collection of 22 keyboards of outstanding historical significance to Edinburgh. The instruments will be exhibited in the university's St Cecilia's Hall, Scotland's oldest purpose-built concert hall, and will also be used in public performances
