Edinburgh reunion is a political party

九月 1, 2000

Edinburgh University is revealing its stranglehold on the political scene north of the border with a Scottish Parliament forum on Sunday, part of its Alumni 2000 celebrations.

Edinburgh graduates will have the chance to quiz fellow graduate MSPs. The panellists are independent MSP Dennis Canavan, who graduated from Edinburgh with a BSc in 1967, Scottish health minister Susan Deacon (MA 1987), Scottish Tory Party leader David McLetchie (LLB 1974), deputy minister for enterprise and lifelong learning Nicol Stephen (diploma in legal practice 1981), Scottish National Party deputy leader John Swinney (MA 1986) and Scottish Green Party MSP Robin Harper (the university's elected rector). The forum is being chaired by broadcaster and journalist Sally Magnusson (MA 1978).
