Flexible working is good for you, researchers have found. Studies at the Wolfson Research Institute at Durham University monitoring the health and working lives of more than 16,000 people found that self-scheduling of hours had a positive impact on blood pressure, sleep and mental health. In one example, police officers who were able to modify their starting times at work showed significant improvements in psychological wellbeing.
