Durham University has signed a two-year green electricity contract with the energy company npower business to supply electricity to all 240 buildings on the university estate. For every kilowatt of "green electricity" used by Durham University, npower business will buy the equivalent from renewable sources such as wind farms and hydroelectric stations.
