Leading computer games entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl this week launched a Scotland-wide competition for students who want to follow in his footsteps.
Teams of undergraduates and postgraduates can bid to join the Dare to be Digital competition, which has a top prize of a £5,000 expenses-paid trip to ECTS, Europe's leading computer industry exhibition in London.
The six teams selected to take part will be able to use the University of Abertay, Dundee's state-of-the-art computer games technology laboratories as they turn their ideas for computer games, mobile phone games, CD-Roms and websites into products or working prototypes.
Abertay, which has pioneered courses in computer games programming and games creativity, is organising the competition, with Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise Tayside, backed by sponsorship from the Bank of Scotland.
