Devolution may bring Scottish pay review

三月 5, 1999

The Scottish Parliament may offer the prospect of a pay-review body for academics north of the border, according to the Association of University Teachers Scotland. The union's council will tomorrow debate the possibility of campaigning through the Parliament, if the forthcoming Bett report does not lead to a pay-review body for the UK.

Regional assistant general secretary David Bleiman said: "Our discussions with political parties give us reason to be optimistic about the Scottish Parliament's approach to higher education."
