Dean there, done that

Universities that turn to headhunters to help fill their vacancies should remember their loyalty is often very temporary. One academic who recently got a job as a dean within a major university was pleasantly surprised to hear from his headhunter two weeks after he started the position. But was the efficient headhunter checking how his candidate was fitting in? No, he had a dean position elsewhere on his books and he wanted to know if his candidate was bored after his first fortnight and ready for a new challenge.
