Cricklade whistleblower sacked

六月 4, 1999

Whistleblower Andrew Murray has been sacked by Cricklade College, Andover.

Mr Murray, a senior Natfhe negotiator, helped disclose alleged financial irregularities at the college, which led to the suspension of principal Richard Evans. Late last week, Mr Murray was told he had lost an appeal against his removal from the college.

Natfhe believes he has been victimised for whistleblowing, and is calling for sanctions against the college.

College acting principal Elizabeth Blakemore has said that decisions over Mr Murray's position at the college are "completely unrelated" to the finance probe.
