Coventry University is celebrating the popularity of its wine courses by offering students a study trip to the vineyards of France's Champagne region.
Last year, nearly 100 people studied wine at the university on courses from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust at certificate and diploma level.
Previously strictly an evening class subject, classes are now being extended to daytime, and home-study packs are being introduced.
Anyone inclined to over-indulge in their favourite tipple need not worry. "There is no obligation to take exams," says course organiser Steve Smith.
