A missing comma in a quotation in our profile of Sir Gordon Duff ("Flu fighter", 7 February) may have given the incorrect impression that Sir Gordon had said that the famous Spanish Flu pandemic was in 1957 rather than 1918. The 1957 pandemic was known as the Asian Flu. Apologies to Sir Gordon.
