An international conference on the regional approach to information society in mountainous areas, will take place from 21 to 23 June in Parma, Italy.
The conference will gather Information Society Technologies (IST) experts and policymakers from European regions and municipalities alike to discuss and exchange experiences with regard to the opportunities offered by the IST sector.
Participants will be asked to consider the following items:
- implications of IST in mountainous regions of Europe;
- broadband infrastructure and technology;
- public services and IST;
- online services in the context of the eEurope programme;
- e-learning in educational training and its infrastructure.
