Commission to promote EU-New Zealand collaboration at nanotechnology conference

Senior officials from the European Commission will lead a workshop on developing closer collaboration between the EU and New Zealand in the field of nanotechnology at an international conference on advanced materials and nanotechnology, taking place in Queenstown, New Zealand, from 6 to 11 February.

The EU delegation will also outline the European strategy for nanotechnology and give details of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) work programme for nanotechnology research.

The purpose of the conference is to promote international collaboration in the broad areas of advanced materials and nanotechnology, with a particular emphasis on new and emerging technologies.
