Colleges assure MPs they are against sleaze

THE Association of Colleges is campaigning to convince MPs that colleges are committed to stamping out sleaze, but it rejects a government call to cut the number of business representatives on governing bodies. The AoC has sent colleges a sample letter to send to local MPs, proclaiming: "The college is fully committed to ensuring our accountability to all our communities." But it warned that some of the proposals in the government's consultation document, Accountability in Further Education, were "too prescriptive".
