Code aims to cut thefts of rare books and art

The government has drawn up a voluntary code of practice to help cut thefts of rare books and works of art. Drafted by the Home Office, with the Library Association and Council for Prevention of Art Theft, the code asks dealers and auctioneers to establish identification and evidence of sale of works that could help trace stolen works.
