We reported in a diary item on June 15, "Internet promotions", that Sheffield University had been slow to correct errors on its website that wrongly gave staff the title "Dr". Sheffield said that the pages were in fact promptly corrected when The Times Higher first brought the matter to its attention in March, and an error spotted in May must have been from an old "cached" version of a website page.
