A key aim is to bring researchers together to approach research issues in a coordinated, multidisciplinary fashion and in this context submissions from groups of applicants are particularly welcomed. The successful projects will bring together groups with a strong record of research in electronic/optical devices and circuits, based on both inorganic and organic materials. Also associated with the programme will be groups involved with the synthesis, deposition, fabrication, and physics of the optical and electronic properties, of these increasingly important devices.
