Campaigns are under way at more than 100 US universities pressing them to end their investment in war-torn Sudan. The campaign group Sudan Disinvestment Taskforce said that 54 universities had already limited their investments in Sudan and pressure groups at 47 others were urging their institutions to do likewise. Some universities have drawn up blacklists of companies that do business in Sudan, but the investment policies of other institutions are not transparent, the campaign group said.
