Cambridge audit shows staff equality fears

Almost one in three staff at Cambridge University feels unfairly treated, an equal opportunities audit at the university will confirm next week. A third of staff do not regard Cambridge as a good employer.

The university will launch a big equal opportunities drive as it publishes the report, which includes a survey of 3,000 staff. It is expected to make difficult reading for the institution, which wants to lose its elitist image.

Compulsory equality training for managers is understood to be one of the key recommendations.
