Call for proposals published in NMP priority thematic area (3)

十二月 17, 2003

Brussels, 16 Dec 2003

The European Commission has published a call for proposals in the area of 'Nanotechnologies and nano-sciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices' (NMP) under the Sixth Framework Programme's activity of the same name. This is one of the areas covered by the 'Integrating and strengthening the European Research Area' specific programme.

The area covered by this call is:
- coordination of activities in an enlarged Europe (area 3.4.6 of the work programme).

The enlargement of the EU calls for a better integration of research actors and activities in the field of NMP. Accordingly, synergies between the different industrial research teams working under relevant topics of the work programme in all Member States (current and new) and Associated States, should be fostered.

Priority will be given in 2004 to the exchange of best practices in information, communication and the training of research coordinators. The expected coordination action (CA) should emphasise the role of national contact points (NCPs).
