Call for proposals - ASEAN-EU University Network Programme (AUNP)

The European Commission has published a call for proposals for a wide range of activities under the ASEAN-EU University Network Programme (AUNP), which aims to promote mutual awareness and understanding, exchange of experience and knowledge between the two regions.

The AUNP has been designed to enhance higher education cooperation between the European Union and ASEAN (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam), and to promote regional integration within ASEAN.

The activities supported by this call are:


- facilitating partnership projects between higher education institutions in European Union Member States and the eligible ASEAN countries in order to initiate or strengthen coordinated and sustainable relations in the field of higher education;
-promoting joint academic activities, such as the creation of common curricula and courses, and the development of course material;
-upgrading the skills of postgraduate students, academic and administrative staff through the provision of in country and overseas training, and through the exchange of experience;
-facilitating reciprocal access to higher education;
-encouraging mutual knowledge and recognition of study programmes; agreements on credit transfer and mutual degree recognition;
-fostering collaborative applied research focusing on fields of study of demonstrable EU-ASEAN mutual interest, with the subsequent sharing of research output and publications.
