The Diary is relieved to hear that it's not just us with a schoolboy sense of humour. Apparently, several of the research councils's press officers suggested to their chief executives that the name chosen for their new cross-council high-level strategy group could sound a little, er, rude. But then RCUK looks fine when written on paper, doesn't it?
