The institute offers annual research grants to support excavation, survey, museum-based or institute-based projects. BIAA is keen to encourage projects which make novel and imaginative use of its equipment holdings, its reference collections and all its Ankara-based facilities. In general, BIAA is eager to expand its research portfolio into new fields within Turkey and has also funded recent work in Georgia. Applicants must be of British/Commonwealth nationality, or normally resident within the UK.
Applications should be made on the appropriate form which is available online, or may be obtained from either the Ankara or London office. All applications must be supported by references from two referees who are not employed by the applicants own university or institution.
