Scientists at King's College London have discovered a new mechanism for regulating blood pressure. The research, which is published online in the journal Science and funded by the British Heart Foundation, could lead to the development of new drugs for combating high blood pressure. The protein, kinase G (PKG), plays a fundamental role in regulating blood pressure. The King's team has found a novel way in which the protein can be regulated.
