AVERT is a national AIDS charity that funds medical research and has an education programme. Applications are invited for medical research studentships in HIV/AIDS. The purpose of the studentships scheme is to enable graduates to undertake, in a recognised institution, full-time research in the field of HIV and AIDS. The scheme provides for three years research leading to a PhD. The annual grant will start at £11,000 (London), £8,740 (elsewhere). The awards will be made through the departments in which they are to be held.
