Anxiety and insomnia familiar bedfellows

Chronic insomnia may be a sign of other mental health problems, a team at a Norwegian university have found. The study of 25,000 people found those who had chronic sleep problems were more likely to have depression or an anxiety disorder or develop anxiety problems later. However, the researchers at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen found that insomniacs did not have an increased risk of future depression.
