Brussels, 17 Jun 2003
An AllChemE seminar on 'decision orientated risk assessment of chemicals' will take place on 25 June at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The seminar will seek to give further insight into risk assessment in relation to consumer products. It will also look at how risk assessment methodologies relate to new legislation on chemicals and the proposed REACH legislation.
The keynote speaker at the event will be Professor Konrad Hungerbuhler from the chemical engineering department at the Swiss federal institute of technology (ETH) in Zürich.
The seminar is being hosted by German MEP Dagmar Roth-Behrendt, with the support of the European representative body for chemistry and chemical engineering (AllChemE), and the society of environmental toxicology and chemistry (SETAC).
