Aberdeen students appoint Fat Lady rector

三月 5, 1999

(Photograph) - Clarissa Dickson-Wright (pictured below), half of television's Two Fat Ladies, was this week installed as the student-elected rector of Aberdeen University. The first woman to be appointed to the post in Aberdeen's 500-year history, Ms Dickson-Wright will serve for three years.

The TV chef is a law graduate of University College London, completing her law degree and bar exams in three years instead of the usual six. Aged 21, she was the youngest woman to be called to the bar.
